View our Pet of the Week each Sunday on Fox 54 at 9 pm. You'll be introduced to one of our adoptable shelter pets and hopefully complete your family with a new dog, cat, puppy or kitten. Fox 54 and the GHHS working together to help our community find unwanted pets a new beginning.

 Fans! We Welcome You to Our Universe!
The GHHS welcomes Star Wars fans from around the universe to the city of Huntsville. We pay tribute to the film that has become an iconic legend and invite you to visit the shelter pets of the Greater Huntsville Humane Society. All summer long, we honor the Star Wars legacy by naming our shelter pets after all of the legendary characters associated with Star Wars. May the force be with you and all of our wonderful ewoks, wookies, hanadaks, and katt-hounds. We don't really have those but we do have dozens of dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies! In the words of Han Solo, "YAHOOOOO! You're all clear, kid. Now let's blow this thing and go home," at least, that is what we think our Star Wars pets will be feeling once you have adopted them.
